About: Poly maze is a DJ/producer based in Berlin and member of the No Shade initiative which is both a club night series and DJ training program for female and non-binary identifying DJs.
SCHMOOD: I’ve been really into hardcore music again lately which put me into a nostalgic mood as I used to listen to it a lot, so I used a couple songs that I liked back from that period of my life and some that are newer. I don’t feel as though I can communicate the particular feelings well but reflecting on everything that has happened in the past years, the friendships and bonds that came and went as well as the things I’ve managed to do went into making this mix in some form. A lot has changed, I’ve been able to do a lot of things I used to dream of and also meet a lot of people but I still feel similarly out of place and alienated as before.
